Changeling

Like the changing of seasons and the gentle turning of years Changeling eternally transforms from one breed to another, his appearance ageless, his age timeless.

Some whisper of an ancient curse on the clan of his youth, others of a quest for immortality gone terribly wrong. No matter the cause, whether victim or author of his fate, Changeling is bound to his youth as irrevocably as day to night, an eternal child in body but fully grown in mind. Even as he faces the challenges of eternal youth he is plagued by the endless changes of his body, from breed to breed, an unending cycle of metamorphosis. Just as his Phoenix companion cycles infinitely through her own life, death, and rebirth, Changeling passes through his own cycle of changes so complete that those who don't know him well refuse to believe it's still him.

Shaped by the challenges of his life, Changeling has developed a keen mind dedicated to discovering ancient and lost knowledge in hopes of undoing that which was done. Often found amid dust covered scrolls in the darkest corners of the deepest repositories, he never gives up hope that one day he will be released from the curse he bears.
