T Z I P P O R
✦ ORNITHOLOGIST ⬩ HE/HIM ✦ ⬥ Bio ⬥ Tzippor is one of the many dedicated biologists of the Empyrisan Kinship, specializing in ornithology, the study of birds. Originating from the Rosebud Clan, the close ally of the Kinship, Tzippor sought out to broaden his horizons by living with the larger, nomadic clan. Though shy and reserved by nature, this does little to stop Tzippor from being earnest and generous with his time. His background as a familiar caretaker has equipped him with empathy and zoological expertise, of which has been immensely helpful for the Kinship's wildlife preservation team, as part of their wider charitable efforts to make Sornieth a better world for all. And by association with his current familiar Rushda, he often finds himself serving as an ambassador for the Talonok Beastclan when their homes are ravaged by war or deforestation. Tzippor carries the nickname 'Birdwing,' a reference to the brilliant patterns he once sported (resembling those of the birdwing butterflies) before swapping out his genes in favor of more muted colors, for camouflaging purposes. He also claims that his new patterns help him from intimidating the birds he studies, invoking challenges, or stealing attention. He's actually just trying to find a mate himself. He still writes to his old flame Quake, whose fighting passion for harmony between Beastclans and dragons was always inspiring to him. ⬥ Youth ⬥ Tzippor grew up far more attached to his former familiar Till, a Travelling Garden, than with the dragons around him. When meeting someone new, he was drawn immediately to their familiar rather than to the dragon themself. His family often joked that Tzippor grew like a flower on Till's back rather than in the clan's nest. So it became apparent as the years passed that his heart was set on bonding with familiars, and once given the space to do so, he retreated to the depths of the forest and surrounded himself with any creature that felt safe in his company. In learning about all kinds of familiars and their unique traits, word of him spread through the grapevine. Dragons who had trouble bonding with their familiar often sought him out for advice on what they can do to provide for their companion's needs. He sometimes had visitors from as far as the Ashfall Waste come to see him with their familiars at their side, and it proved to be the only occasions that Birdwing was amiable and sociable with others of his kind. Though he preferred the homely feeling of a dense forest, the fauna of Dragonhome was particularly fascinating to him, and urged him to take root with a clan of Snappers that he grew a mutually respectful relationship with.
