JASPER -...♪ Jasper is an eccentric potion seller, who indulges himself in his various concoctions and enjoys experimenting on himself. His potions are incredibly strong, and his frequent digestion of them has in turn made him just as powerful. However, he knows from experience that these potions are too strong for the average dragon; hence, he refuses to sell them to his new, insistent companion, the infamously poor warrior Evander. Due to his reluctance to sell his potions, he has very little business aside from young, enthusiastic travelers. Only few have ever been (successfully) bestowed with his gifts. |

Jasper is a jovial and wise creature, who puts on a deceptive air of confidence. He's tall and impressive, and always has his chest puffed out. A long time ago, he concocted his first mighty potion. He'd always had quite a knack for the craft, and thought he might try his hand at something so powerful it could contest a knight's abilities... he succeeded, but at a cost. The dragon who first tasted it died almost instantly. Horrified at the effects, he fled his hometown for darker and more sinister plains, which landed him here. He began his endeavour to grow immune to his potions, gradually increasing their strength, and now spends his time mixing up whatever he wants and ingesting it himself (he would never let someone else drink it, after what happened). He's immune to most poisons and toxic edibles due to his efforts. |

Jasper is more or less a loner; this isn't because of any shyness, but because he finds himself exhausted with the frailty of dragonkind. He's so strong, powerful, youthful yet old, and everyone around him is so fragile and susceptible to harm. Secretly, he's scared of growing attached to someone who could leave him within the blink of an eye... but he'd never admit it. Despite all this, he finds himself with a growing fondness towards Evander, the foolish warrior who visits him every day. He can't quite put his finger on what he's feeling, but it's certainly more than platonic (he would never say it out loud). He knows, however, that his potions would kill Evander - and despite what he says, he does respect knights (enough to protect one from harm), despite the fact that his potions are far more effective. |
