Biography

Helps Scribe in the library and with paperwork. Due to an injury as a hatchling, while she was still a Fae, she couldn't fly (more specifically, she couldn't move her left wing, and it drooped behind her as she walked, hindering her movement). As a result while her siblings were out flying/adventuring, she was usually carried around by Magenta.

She decided to become a Gaoler, both in solidarity with her dad and so that she could move around more freely than when she was a Fae. (She can now move her left wing around—just very slowly, so she usually keeps it by her side.) As it's been a very long time since she was a Fae, she's learnt to express tone inflections in speech, something she then taught Scribe.

She's Starlight's go-to speedreader, and reads through new/incoming books to determine whether or not they're high-enough quality to pass as good reading material. She's also the reason why there's a "Good Reading Material" section and a "Bad Reading Material" section, along with paw-written book reviews stapled to the back of the book cover.

Her family members are the only ones whom she lets call her Candy. Everyone else has to stick with Candace.

Likes eating roses (or just flowerheads in general) over meat. Pearl usually gives Lavendar's rose gifts to her as a prank on Lavendar. Candace finds this funny.

Aromantic and asexual. Finds the idea of her in a relationship laughable, though she's supportive of others who are in their own romantic relationships. She likes reading romantic stories for a laugh. (Unless the stories are adorable, in which case she'll coo over the characters/story.)

Pearl's older sister. On good terms with her, but due to their interests and Pearl living at the Barracks they don't talk much in person. They do however talk over the shellphone frequently (read: once or twice a week)—Pearl tells Candace about the escapades, and Candace tells Pearl about the newest funny romance she's found.
