Though you try you never know
Just how far the sad will go
To at last escape the pain
Though there's nothing left to gain
Through the dark they run afar
Though it their souls will mar
At the end they die alone
Nothing to show for life but bone

Only the one who has been alone
Will not cause another to groan
For they know what the pain will steal
Making you wish you could never feel
When all you want is to feel the bliss
And know at last happiness

All will be gone tomorrow
And still the guilt shall leave you hollow
Though you know what you have done
The truth you try to outrun
For the end with you begun
Your betrayal of a friend
Will cause your soul to descend
Thanks to you all now shall end

Replaced by sorrow, Peace shall bow

I couldnt see the lie under the grin
Now all I love is falling apart
Feel the hole that used to be my heart

What I thought was diamond was really glass
I put my trust where it shouldn't be

Once there was a place
I try to see it through the haze
Where colors were bright
In the suns warm light
Now the light is long gone
And so I wander on and on
From one pale grey to another
I search for a splash of color
Those around me try so hard
Even though my soul is scarred
To help me see the beauty
And so I feel it is my duty
To never let them see
The void at the heart of me
This darkness eating all the light
I fight it off with all my might
But every day it takes some more
Till I'm withered away to my very core
Soon comes the day when all shall end
For nothing now my soul can mend
Time will come when my strength will wane
And I'll be overcome by the pain

Through the dark there cuts a light
Blinding bright in the peaceful night
Look deep within and you will find
In the darkest corners of your mind
The light you see is so untrue
And those around you never knew
They made you believe for so long
But now you know it all was wrong
There are so very few who see
That what you wish can never be
The evils never hiding in the dark
But in the light it leaves its mark
It looks to bring the end to all
Into despair you now shall fall
You have always looked right past
But finally you see at last
The enemy right before your eyes
Hope is how the world dies
