______ L Self-Disciplined / Intellectual / Arrogant / Secretive

Ripplestep, a being of wisdom, yet so unwilling to share the tales of their secrets. Nor their life. They originated from a lair surrounded by rims of numerous mountains and the delightful rainfall on a usual basis. As the hatchling grew, they found themselves reserved from those who nurtured them. There was no reasonable explanation on why they never truly settled well with them. Though they often scurried away from their parental guides. They found an excessive delight out of watching the local wildlife. They held a deep craving to take care of the companion's dragons of their lair kept close. They stumbled across a middle-aged Obelisk. He introduced himself to the young Guardian. He spoke to them about familiars, explaining the diversity and specialties they held to dragons in their lair. "Why do you know so much about. . . Familiars?" Ripplestep found themselves asking him. He looked down at them, simply smiling before he spoke. "I work with familiar's on a daily occurrence, for I am a Familiar Tamer after all." Ripplestep's eye's lit up as they began to bother him for more information, thrilled to know more. Ripplestep found themselves crawling back to their parental guides, begging them to allow them to be taught under the Familiar Tamer. They eventually caved into their pleads. Besides, it got the needy-hatchling out of their cave. The Obelisk took them under his wing, teaching them the ways of bonding with familiars, befriending them, and caring for them. He even took care of them, treating them as their child. Ripplestep grew, shaping their attitudes into what he had taught them. Yet, there was no hope in ridding their arrogant nature.

______ SThe welcoming Obelisk left Ripplestep to take care of the current Familiars, as he found himself off to find new and distant Familiar's. He left for the remainder of the week's left in the month-stead. Ripplestep was alone with the many Familiar's. They found themselves attached to a Sphinx, who they named "Danza." They spoke of nothingness but merely stood by Ripplestep when possible. Ripplestep wandered the very crowded blocks in search of something to fade their doldrums away. Their Fuschia eye's scanned the area, only to stop on a natural sight. The Obelisk, many distances away. He appeared to be speaking to one of the militia dragons, the individuals who protected the lair. They refused to jump to conclusions, waiting for him to enter the narrow tunnel that lead to the throne room for their Lair's leader. They crept in after them, staying away behind and hiding behind large structures.
"My lady, the Familiar Tamer would be pleased to speak to you on behalf of his experiences." The militia bowed before their leader before allowing for the Obelisk to speak.
"It has been a pleasure to work under you, my dear leader. The layouts are running smoothly/ The familiars are securely equipped for your militia."
"Wonderful. Now, do you have an exact estimate on when they'll be prepped? We never truly know when those gods might strike us. . . Or those disgusting outsiders." The leader spat, shoving her compliments away.
"I'm afraid not, my dear Leader."
"Then leave. You have important work to attend to, do you not? Guide him out, Qua."
The militia shoved the Obelisk from the leader's lair.

They locked their eye's onto the Obelisk once he entered the tent. "You lied to me!" They slammed their long talons onto the tiles as they stood. "Ripplestep, what do you mean?" "I know you're befriending these Familiars, only to give them to our overseers just to make them war machines!" They felt their eyes heavy with tears. "You weren't supposed to know of that." The Obelisk's tone changed as he looked at the Familiars. "You don't know what we, as dragons have to deal with. Those. . . "gods . ." are ruining everything we've set up ourselves. We have to fight them." He narrowed his pink eyes. They fell silent, struggling to comprehend. Abruptly the Obelisk drew one of his talons over his left eye, blood running along his face as he briefly smiled before he charged out of the tent screaming. "My apprentice! My apprentice harmed their mentor! The being who took care of them since they were a hatchling!" He beckoned the crowd's to approach, murmuring having erupted. Ripplestep chased after, fear having swelled. "I didn't! He's-- He's lying! He's making these poor, helpless Familiar's fight in the war!" "Oh, how they lie! I've caught them poisoning Familiars!" He pointed a talon at Ripplestep, the crowd gasping in shame. Ripplestep paused on their speakings, unable to fight against his lies. They wept in front of the many dragons, only to have blades pointed their way. They fled with their remaining Familiar, who stood unbrainwashed by their former mentor. They eventually found Dretis, where they trained daily as a Mage, learning a vast-range of abilities. Their familiar, Danza standing at their side.
