Personality: Barun is the studying night guard for the clan. He has a bad habit of pulling all-nighters and only taking naps during the day. This cycle of sleep deprivation causes him to fall asleep at the most inopportune moments. Despite this, he stubbornly refuses to change his sleep schedule, stating that as a night guard it's most important for him to be awake and active at night. He's a rather serious dragon, and others tend to see him as a workaholic. Apart from being a night guard, he's pretty handy to have around for projects, as he is a pro at organizing things. Doing simple, repetitive tasks may be boring for some, but for Barun it's rather relaxing. His patience is one of his greatest strengths. Lore: Too bright... Barun thought with a grimace, squinting through the sunlight and trying to position himself in such a way that the rays would be blocked by the branches overhead. His eyes— blessed with the ability to see further in darkness— were an asset when he was on-duty, but during the day they had the tendency to backfire on him. He was so distracted by his discomfort that he didn't even notice his fellow champion Megrez approaching him until he was right in front of him. "Barun... are you alright?" Glancing up at the sunny sky, Megrez quickly put two-and-two together. "Oh, it's quite bright out, isn't it." Extending a large wing, he carefully angled it to shade his smaller friend. Barun breathed a sigh of relief as his sensitive eyes were spared from the sunlight. "Thank you. I suppose I should stay indoors today," he sighed, resigned. Megrez shrugged awkwardly. "You could always invest in a hood, or some sunglasses. Marva might have something, you know her collector tendencies." It wasn't a bad idea. Barun nodded to himself. "I'll ask her. In the meantime, would you mind, erm, escorting me back?" He had wandered fairly far from his den in search of fresh meat, only to be caught off guard when the clouds suddenly parted. He was lucky that Megrez had happened to be nearby. "Of course." Megrez easily agreed. He would never tell his proud companion, but having heard that Barun was out hunting when the weather suddenly turned sunny, he had gone out with the express goal of finding him. Their night guard was so skilled at his job, and yet so vulnerable in the day, it was hard not to worry about him. But of course, this would only embarrass him if he were to say that, so he simply kept his mouth shut and his wing extended as they headed back to the clan.
