► HISTORY

Maximillian is an enthusiast of music. Displaying an inclination to picking out patterns in everything, Maximillian puts this gift to best use when he listens to a musical piece and breaks it down into recognizable chunks for him to analyse. A talented composer in his own right, Maximillian has emphasized on working on his musical skills and talents above everything else. So great is his devotion to his art, and so great is his commitment to consistency in practising it that his concentration skills are legendary among his clanmates. When the idea takes root, not even the Shade can prevent him from accomplishing his life's work.

► CHARACTER
Maximillian is characterized by his aloof and phlegmatic disposition in his daily dealings with clan affairs and draconic life as a whole. Known as a stolid figure among his clanmates, Maximillian is defined by the schizoid character of his psyche. It is precisely this nature that often gives him the air of mystery and solemn contemplation that haunts him wherever he ventures. The raucous and chaotic realm of empirical reality is of little significance to him, and he often finds reality lacking in the complexity emotional intensity that he yearns to experience. This dissonance between his idealization of reality and the cold, lifeless caricatures of real life is one of the primary reasons that he is withdrawn. His mind is a living and breathing beast, a tumultuous ocean of connections and realizations, a fertile plain of inspiration and unborne ideas. Within the realms of his mind, his imagination is a double-edged sword that serves as the line of defense a somber reality that seeks to dishearten his artistic spirit.

When the monotony of daily life in Sornieth stars to weigh down his soul, Maximillian retreats to the solace offered by his Stradivarius violin. With each stroke of the bow on the weathered strings, the notes of life rejuvenate his enthusiasm and peace. For a contemplative and somber soul like Maximillian, transcendence and tranquility is found in the pursuit of tuning out the rest of the world, only letting the heavenly musical tones of his beloved violin saturate his senses. Through these moments of reprieve, Maximillian finds meaning and purpose in immersing himself in the abstract imagery conjured by the fertile grounds of his imagination, a masterpiece of art that only he has the privilege to see.

Once in a blue moon, Maximillian may be found by his clanmates to be immersed in a long period of aggressive withdrawal from social interactions when the fit of musical inspiration takes him under the wing. During these manic periods of work, his unsettling focus on his life's passion gives him a heightened awareness and appreciation of Sornieth's natural wonders. This holistic experience serves as the wellspring of inspiration and ideas, which then is taken by his mind and digested in a form of abstract representations that are later translated into notes and scribbles on aged parchment. These fits are spontaneous and cannot be predicted even by the few that are closest to him. However, one can be rest assured that once the delicate work is finished, a musical masterpiece emerges from the depths of his imagination, waiting to be played to a willing audience.
