The PlaugeBringer arose from the bubbling bog on the island, along with her Wood Ear Dear, known only as the BogStag. It is said that seeing the PlaugeBringer or the BogStag is often a bad omen, and any Shaman who see them should take it as a sign of bad things to come. It is that many who encounter them or become lost in the bubbling bog will find that they become ill or even die. However, the PlagueBringer is not of force of evil as they may seem, they simply have a duty to uphold. They do not see gender, age, or species when it comes to there pray, they know only that some must become ill and other should not, it is there duty to be unbiased.

That being said, the PlaugeBringer was enslaved by the WarCaller during the great war, sent out and forced to make her enemies ill or loose there precious BogStag and find their bubbling bog destroyed. It is said after the great war the PlagueBringer and the BogStag sank back into the depths of the bubbling bog, to this day the only sighting has been glimpses among the green fog shrouded trees or the black mask floating among the surface of the bog. Since there vanishing sickness on the island has been more manageable for the healers.
