Biography
Captain Admiral Nightmare
The Captain commanding The Nematic
~ decisive, charismatic, judicious ~
-{♫ Theme}-{he/him}-{cis}-{straight}-{older adult}-{lawful neutral}-
"Life without the sea is no life at all."
The wildclaw seems to be in deep thought while looking into a book. As if suddenly aware of your presence, he looks up at you and closes the book. "Ahoy there, the name is Captain Admiral Nightmare. Yes, my first name is Admiral and my title is Captain. Yes, it has caused confusion in the past. Normally I'd be aboard my ship the Nematic, but it's here in our home port as we prepare to set sail once more. You may think that the captain rules the ship with an iron fist, but it isn't true. Most everything we do is decided by vote, it's the way of agreement, it's the code." He pats the book. "Only in the heat of battle when there is no time to vote do I have total command. It's my duty to lead under pressure and get my crew through a situation. Well, you best be off now, we're setting sail again soon."

Part of the Ship, Part of the Crew
Not much is known about Admiral before amassing his crew, but he claims to originate from Churnscar Wharf. In truth, his birth clan was in the nearby Shoredeep Presage, and he would make frequent treks to the port town to the point where it was his home away from home. This is in part because his parents named him Admiral in hopes that he would become a successful sailor with a high ranking position, and he would visit the wharf to find work. However, Admiral is not one to set aside his own dreams to follow what others want of him. He did want to sail aboard ships, but his dreams were far larger than being a simple sailor, or even an officer of a royal naval vessel - living a life doing things that others want of him. He wanted the freedom of open waters, to do what he wants, where he wants, when he wants. A seafaring dragon such as himself who dreams of such things, is called a pirate. And just being a pirate still wasn't good enough, he wanted to aim for the top: being a Captain of his own vessel. One day Admiral left home for good. He began sailing with different crews, under different Captains, looking for the right opportunities to get what he wanted.
Pirate Customs And Articles of Sornieth
1. Every dragon has a vote on important affairs; has equal title to the fresh provisions or strong liquors seized at any time and to the use of them at pleasure, unless a scarcity makes it necessary, for the good of all, to vote a retrenchment. 2. Every dragon is to be called fairly in turn, by list, upon the taking of prizes on board ship, because they are on these occasions allowed a shift of clothes. But if any dragon should defraud the company to the value of a gem, in plate, jewels, or money, marooning shall be their punishment. 3. No dragon is to game at cards or dice for money. 4. The lights and candles are to be put out at eight o'clock at night. If any of the crew still remains inclined for drinking after that hour, they are to do it out on the open deck. 5. Every dragon is to keep their musket, pistols, and cutlass clean and fit for service. 6. No beastclan is allowed. If any dragon is found bringing any beastclan to sea in disguise, the dragon is to be exalted. 7. To desert the ship, or one's quarters in battle, is punished by exalt or marooning. 8. No striking one another on board is allowed. Every dragon's quarrels are to be ended on shore by sword and pistol. 9. No dragon is to talk of breaking up our way of life till each one has 1,000 gems. If in order to do this, any dragon loses a limb or becomes disabled, they are to have 800 gems out of the public stock and for lesser hurts, proportionately. 10. The captain and quartermaster are to receive two shares of a prize, the navigator, boatswain and weapon's master, one and half shares, and other officers, one and quarter. -if pirates fly a black flag, it means they will show mercy to those who give up their goods. if they fly a red one, it's bad news...
