HURRICANE Role

51444230.png

xxx The Leviathan Trench has countless air pocket caverns lining it. These have been used to house the strongest, most ruthless dragon clans over the centuries. One of these older groups have several statues in a tower they revere as historic figures from their lengthy past. Legend says one day they are destined to reawaken and reclaim the Trench for themselves.

Lore notes:
- is currently frozen as a stone statue courtesy of the Tidelord. Has been this way for 3000 years.
- Windsinger trolled Tidelord and kidnapped Hurricane once.
- Thanks to Windsinger reversing his powers he now has the ability to permanently remove water from areas. He can thin water to create permanent misty air pockets (akin to the kelp beds air pocket). Used this to dot the Leviathan Trench with livable spaces for multi-flight clans. Though his goal at the time had been so they could create and study other flight's technology.
- is in charge of clan expansion and its internal relations
- is considered the weakest of the founders but like, don't push your luck.
- very good friends with Shoal. While none of the founders dislike one another he is very cautious of Tsunami.
- vain, willing to forgive or lessen most punishments if given a compliment.
- frozen because Tidelord went "... no. <3"

Hurricane breathed uneasily as he evaluated all he had learned. Marens and dragons were one- except on the surface where they were not. The guardians were a replacement for the undertide. There was much hatred over this. The salt-sea dwelling Undertide clans loathed Tidelord and his worship- and felt themselves right over this.

Hurricane pained a look towards Tsunami who he knew was taking this badly. She was priestess of Tidelord. Her flesh and being had been devoted to such and to learn Tidelord had not only abandoned the Undertide's, but the water flight as a whole was soul crushing. He mentally noted to check on her later. For the time being the priestess was locked within a private cavern. She had voluntarily retreated there and for this Hurricane was glad. He would have hated to have forcefully commanded her seclusion. She was much too unpredictable right now to be among these youthful drakes without posing a threat.

Maelstrom was swimming from wall to wall of the thicker veil of water that encapsulated their hastily gifted residence building and yard. "We have much to do. We cannot waste minutes. This was not the plan." She muttered insults towards Hurricane for his negligence and he laughed at her brazenness. He understood her impatience.

"Tidelord himself sought fit to ruin us." Estuary piped up. The darker Undertide had not spoken much since they had reawakened. He never did really, but that was because he could listen to thoughts and not merely words. He alone knew exactly how all of the other founders felt at present. "We should not feel deeply sorrowed over having been abandoned."

Hurricane cast a glance towards Tsunami's cavern. He felt Estuary's words were likely for her over anyone else. The frustrated brightly Undertide wanted to soothe over his allies worries, but he lacked intel to make swift choices. Hurricane lacked time however and needed to be fast to maintain his place.

"Vote." He commanded abruptly. "Shall we remain with this clan or join the salt-sea?" Each founder hesitantly gave their answers and even Tsunami emerged from her chambers to give her mortified opinion on having to leave a clan that still worshipped her god of choice.

"Why would we leave what we have sacrificed so much to build?" Maelstrom posited. To which all founders agreed; they had worked hard to bring their clan into fruition. There would be no abandoning of it.

"A new problem." Hurricane raised his head and closed his eyes and prayed deeply they wouldn't immediately argue over this. "We must decide our roles. Are we to take over this clan in the old fashion, or will we play by the new rules they have made for themselves?"

"We have an image." Maelstrom noted. Estuary nodded in alignment with this. "The people fear us and our power. We should use this to our advantage."

"We should not." Tsunami spoke. "The people will turn on us if we do this." She was met with another nod from Estuary and a sharp glare from Maelstrom.

"It would be easier…" Estuary voiced quietly, "if we have more time to be around them." The founders stared at the darkly prince carefully. They knew it was about his means of control.

"Then we shall abide by what this clan has decided their rules are." Hurricane nodded. He allowed himself to feel triumphant in uniting the founders together on a topic. They worked best when they shared a similar goal and in the months that had let to their unexpected halting they had lacked such. It was good to feel on track again.

"Their King. Their Queen. What shall we do with them?"

"Negotiate." Hurricane firmly demanded. "We must pretend to be harmless. Allow them to give us an honorary title."

"That is wise." Maelstrom spoke softly. She seemed distracted now at all the plans she was must enact. Her eyes flashed full of life and excitement towards Hurricane, who was apparently the unofficial head of this impromptu meeting. "I shall learn to what extent the clan territory reaches."

"We must all learn what we can of this clan." Estuary agreed. "It is no longer in the image we are last familiar with."

"Tsunami?" Hurricane prodded gently.

"I… I shall shallow my pride and learn." She looked hesitant, broken and bitter over what she had learned and the utter betrayal of Tidelord. "But we cannot do much without water. The veil is thinner than it was when you crafted it, Hurricane."

He had noticed that too. The caverns of the undersea were meant to have an only slightly thinned barrier of water to them. To allow expansion and experimentation but still gift the Maren and the Undertide's a comfortable lifestyle.

Estuary's eyes lit up. "A puppet lives." He exclaimed with as much shock in his voice as Estuary was capable of emitting. "Shall I use it?"

"Yes." The founders collectively agreed. Unable to leave they suggested making a nest for Estuary if he was to take command of a puppet for a longer period of time. It felt odd but nice that all of them united in grafting the cushion objects and books in their stay into a soft pile for Estuary to sit on. "Begin when you are ready." Hurricane assured him, "but know that you will likely have much to learn old friend."

"I am accustom to pretending." Estuary spoke calmly to reassure them. "It is hardly the first time I have infiltrated a foreign clan." Hurricane unconsciously brushed his scars with his wings at mention of such activity.

The dragon took a steadying breath and the remora that tailed his hissed and parted to further themselves from the surge of magic their master spawned.

"Awake."

Somewhere within the reef a voice invaded Kappa's head. "Awaken now. We have much work to do."
