Darwin loves exploring and finding new creatures!
He doesn't mean to take any from their home at all, but somehow little creatures seem to attach to him along his travels. There are already 2 frogs and some strange glowing mushrooms that follow him everywhere. Make that 3 frogs! He doesn't mind them and takes pride in the fact that they would trust him so much ^^. The frogs' croaking helps him sleep at night and sometimes he swears he can hear singing or giggling from the mushrooms Perhaps there are very tiny creatures living with the mushrooms in symbiosis! The thought gets him very excited He's investigating these and also the bio-luminescent mushrooms on Thallium. They could possibly be poisonous but this is of no consequence to Thallium as she herself oozes poison from every pore - Darwin has to be careful though.

He found his trusty tropical caiman first and takes her on all his adventures. They've travelled through tropical rain forests to deserts to marshlands and dark woods. Oh, and of course to islands. Have to vacation somewhere from all their travelling xD And his caiman, Fiji, absolutely loves swimming and hunting in shallow tropical pools. They hunt for fish together but often Darwin just gets distracted by all the beautiful forms of life under the water. He tries to remember everything so he can take notes later

With his mossy body and wings like tropical flowers, Darwin is like a chameleon when it comes to blending in different environments. Sometimes he needs actual camouflage of course, like that time in the icy tundra. They did not enjoy it there at all! But Darwin still managed to find some strange black and white birds. They huddled around him as he helped to keep their eggs warm for a bit They were strange but they brought him fish and seemed harmless enough. They were a bit weary of Fiji even though she's such a sweet little caiman

Darwin finds just about all animals and plants and whatever have you interesting. He's already on his 5th notebook and will share his theories with any dragon that will listen. His job is to report all his findings to Damianos, the leader of the nature den. He might ramble a bit in his excitement but dragons like Zylen know he'll get to the point eventually and Damianos knows to be patient.
Zylen is the newest member of this clan's nature den and even as a hatchling he tried to go with Darwin on his adventures. He begged and begged until Darwin made him his apprentice and gave him the honour of carrying his giant "notebooks" around. Luckily he is old enough now and the two can chatter for hours about everything they've discovered. This can bore Fiji a bit so she curls up close to Darwin and gets comfortable

Extra: it appears that Fiji and those strange arctic birds actually got along reaally well. Not long after their visit she hatched an egg and left Darwin absolutely dumbfounded for there was not a caiman inside. Rather, a tropical version of those frigid birds! (Darwin's new companion)
