Biography
Lore by SpiderQueen8:
“Glory? Iara?” Nebula spun around, head turning frantically and almost tripping over herself in her panic. “Anyone?” She called out to her clanmates but no response came. In fact, there was no sound at all save for her own cries of distress and the crackling of a nearby pool of magma.
Nebula spread her wings and took flight, hoping to maybe see a familiar face from higher up but she didn’t last particularly long before she had to land again and catch her breath. The didn’t forget about her, did they? She didn’t go far. They couldn’t have. They wouldn’t have.
She slowly drew her wings closer to herself and fought the urge to start hyperventilating. Everything was going to be fine, she told herself shakily. They had to be nearby. They were here just a second ago, surely she would find them again in no time.
“Don’t panic Nebula, you’re a grown dragon, you’ll be fine.” She mumbled softly and willed herself to believe it.
The more time passed, however, the less effectively she was able to reassure herself. She wasn’t quite sure how long she’d been searching but one thing was clear, she was utterly and completely lost.
Every turn seemed foreign. Every twist seemed new. She whimpered and her tail lashed nervously. Suddenly a horrible thought popped into her head, did they abandon her?
Nebula shook her head frantically, no way. Why would they? She’d always gotten along great with everyone. At least, she thought she had. She tried not to entertain the thought but sometimes, thoughts like that just didn’t want to leave.
The more she tried not to think about it, the more the possibility forced itself to the front of her consciousness. Slowly but surely, Nebula began to despair. It seemed as though she would never find her clan again.
But then, just as she was about to lose hope, she caught sight of a flicker of motion in her peripheral. She spun around, just in time to see a light blue tail, similar to hers, disappear behind a rock. “Mom?”
“Nebula?” A light blue imperial came back into view and both dragons perked up at the sight of each other, “Nebula!”
“Mom!” Nebula ran forward and bowled headfirst into her mother, “I thought I’d lost you guys! I thought you’d abandoned me, I was so sacred. I thought.”
Tasi pulled Nebula closer to herself, “Shhh,” she said softly, nuzzling her daughter. “We’ve been so worried, you wandered off and we didn’t notice right away. I’m so sorry dear and I’m so glad you’re safe.”
The two remained entwined for a moment longer before Tasi spoke up once more. “Promise you’ll be more careful from now on.”
“I promise.”
