B I O G R A P H Y

Alcove was born in the Crystalspine reaches, to a pair of young parents that were struggling to provide. The prey was facing a dryspell, winter seasons rolling in and as much as they hunted and searched and fought, their food storage consistently became barren. Alcove was a scrawny young thing, and as he grew up, being the only one in the clutch made him become awkward, unaccustomed to interacting with other dragons. However, the nature of his birthplace made him a much more formidable force with his magic. With this, it was a double-edged sword, as the more energy he used in his magic, the more he exhausted himself and the more food he needed. With no more food stores and seeing potential in their hatchling, his parents turned to desperation.

Cri found Alcove huddled under a set of cloths, shaking from his senses being overstimulated and from the fear of so many dragons at the Trading Post. As harsh as he could be to any dragons outside of his clan, he felt for this small hatchling. Cri brought Haruko over, and Haruko scooped the tiny thing into his fur, providing a small quiet space for Alcove to rest. In the warm fur of the beast, Alcove calmed, the swaying of their walking lulling him into a dream-filled and peaceful sleep. He stayed asleep for most of the walk to their clan, only peeking out to see as the veil over Fenrisulfur was lifted, the city seeming to appear out of thin air.

He was trained by Cri and Movie, with Haruko helping him try to learn how to handle social situations better. Progress was slow in that area, but he was clearly a talented spellcaster, as he exceeded Movie and Cri's expectations easily. He took after the Fae, in magical skills, and a fair amount of his aggression trickled into the Mirror, despite Cri's reluctance to let him on field. Soon though, even the way his magic manifested began to mimic Cri's, making him a formidable opponent, as scary as his adoptive father was in any spar or fight he was placed in.

____Alcove resides as one of the first in line to take the throne of Fenrisulfur, should anything happen to Cri and Haruko both. Under his rule, the clan would likely stay very similar to how it is now, varying only in how much Fenrisulfur attacks first as Alcove does see that Cri is very quick to assume hostility. He understands though, as what his adoptive father has been through, even if he has only heard glimpses in hushed tones, is no small amount of tragedy caused by the world around them.

____He continues to train under Movie, sharpening his skills every time he's taken out on the field or with any spar. Although he is the second smallest of his siblings, he is the most powerful, and the eldest. Although everyone assumes with his ambition he has plans to usurp his fathers, he dreams of no such thing, and enjoys his life while he doesn't have to have all the worries of a leader that Cri and Haruko do.

_PERSONALITY_

____Alcove is closed-off, Haruko's help with his clear social issues never quite curing them or even reducing them. He remained easily overstimulated, closing himself in his room and only taking one or two companions wherever he was at a time. He gets along with Movie well, as the skydancer is quiet, and shares a lot of his values. He is ambitious, willing to take risks and stay up for days on end to find information or win whatever he needs to.

____Even his siblings don't see him quite as much as they liked, and when Potion was introduced to the family, Alcove only greeted him with a simple nod of his head before returning to his quarters. Haruko is the only one he allows into his room without warning, as the Gaoler provides more than a little comfort to him, with his nature and especially with how quiet he is. Alcove values his family dearly, yet his ambition and own Un-comfortability with other dragons keep him to himself more often than not.
