Eren is a wobbly old man. He's quite pleasant, unlike the second elder dragon residing in the Gladehaven. Oddly enough, the two elders get along decently. They sit together sometimes, exchanging stories from their younger days.

Eren, being originally from Wind, enjoys sharing his experiences. As a young adult, he was a warrior, sworn to protecting his home clan's territories. He had seen many beastclan battles, as his Wind clan were not particularly peaceful dragons. Part of the reason he ended up leaving to seek a new home was because of his hatred for the way their leader treated those of the beastclans. It was a hard decision to make, but one that benefited him greatly in the end.

When he traveled his way around to the Labyrinth, Eren had seen and done many new things. He had come to the region of Nature last and found that it was the most healing place. On a bright sunny day, in mid-summer, Eren happened upon a small stream just off the side of a clearing. He stopped there and lay in the sun for many hours, soaking in the sounds of nature and enjoying the feel of the breeze ruffling his feathers. While sun bathing, the coatl fell asleep, leaving himself more vulnerable than he normally would. He ended up sleeping there for many hours, the sun eventually sinking down below the horizon.

As the coatl slept, stuck in a sort of trance induced by the healing atmosphere of the Gladeveins, something very rare and unusual happened. A spirit of nature appeared, slowly making it's way through the woods, not far from where the coatl lay. When it spotted him, it disappeared out of fear, but slowly faded back into view as it realized the dragon was not a threat. Closer it came, sniffing the air cautiously. Something about this dragon was special. The spirit wasn't sure why, especially knowing that the dragon did not smell of the Glademother. But as it came close enough to touch the coatl, it stretched out it's neck and gently touched the coatl's nose with it's own.

Eren jerked awake rather suddenly out of instinct at being touched. The spirit faded quickly, so fast that Eren had no chance to see it. But there was something different about him, something inside that felt oddly drawn in one direction. He noticed a green glow in the dim light of evening and looked down at himself. He was now covered in newly formed runes, glowing all over his paws and down his body. Alarmed at first, Eren stood and shook out his feathers, as if it might cause the runes to fall away like dust. But then, the coatl reminded himself that no matter how odd, things happened for a reason.

It was days of travel before he found the entrance of the Gladehaven. He was welcomed as most travelers are, and after bonding with Cain, the elder dragon already residing there, Eren decided to stay. His runes never became anything of special reasoning. The nature spirit never returned to him. But from then on, Eren had always sensed that he belonged with this clan of Nature. And he never left again.
