Biography

Achilles the Bard

Apollo was hatched in the Mirrorlight Promenade, taking up the mantle of music-playing even when he was a fledgling. His nanny who could play a lute, believed this to be a result of all the music she would play to him to get him to sleep, since he always had trouble nodding off. For a good portion of his childhood, he was blind and would have the most terrible nightmares. He opened his eyes late but his ears were always much more sensitive henceforth. Before he even learned to fly he had all but surpassed his nanny in musical talent and was looking to turn his hobby into a lifestyle. An admirable dream. His parents supported him wholly. Even when he left the roost to move on to greener pastures to play at all corners of the globe, his parents saw it as his declaration of adulthood and were happy to see him off.
Apollo went here, there and everywhere. From the lush green Viridian Labyrinth to the deathly Scarred Wasteland, even braving climates tundra dragons couldn’t adapt to, such as the Ashfall Waste. Many clans heard his music, some told classic tales and others were expressions of his soul. He had always been followed by female dragons, but not one so persistent as Vesta- though, not for the typical reason. When Apollo left his home, his parents had sent a mercenary to guard him. They sent her a bit too late, as it took several years for her to even locate him. Apollo evaded her She only met him for the first time when he took her right back to the start; home.

When Dawnhide was without a leader Apollo’s parents sent word to him immediately and he made the move home, only to find that they elected a new one, a dragon forged by Light.

Apollo was a charming dragon and had never run out of potential suitors. His child-like oblivion however, lead him to never find a partner until Emmelyn. Apollo was fascinated for the first time. He was never much for physical sensations, so maybe it was upon learning that Emmelyn was a living metaphor, that he fell in love.
