Sommer

Fluffy, white clouds drifted above the two dragons as they chattered. "So I think that's why Tiger would win in a fight against Silver and Flame." Arben, a young Tundra, as he dipped his paintbrush into the light orange paint in front of him and proceeded to point it at a small, brown cat that was sunbathing in front of the two. "I highly doubt that, my love! I think Silver would win, since she's pretty quick." Sommer, a short, blue Skydancer laughed and pointed at the grey cat slumbering under his large orange wing.

"Heh, maybe you're right. But she will have to move now, I'm painting that wing next." Arben said chuckling, as he moved from his mate's shoulder to the wing that had been carefully draped over the small cat. "Silver! Time to move, buddy!" he said as he picked her up and moved her next to a small orange cat that lay on a flat rock next to the entrance of their shared den, before turning back towards Sommer's wing. "You know, I think it was the best idea ever to move here! The Zephyr steppes are so much calmer than the Foxfire Brambles or the Starwood Strand!" Sommer smiled as he looked around at the bamboo swaying slightly in the warm breeze.

"I mean, sure! But nothing exciting ever happens. Don't get me wrong, I love it here and I love being able to go out without hiding my eyes and all, but I do sometimes miss the adventures..." Arben mumbled as he started painting small ringlets on his mate's wing, just as he had done on Sommer's shoulders, head and hips. "Well, we can always go on a vacation somewhere! I've always wanted to visit the Wyrmwound and I know you would die to see the Pillar of the World for yourself, you little nerd!" Sommer teased his mate as he watched him draw the beautiful patterns on his body.

"The Pillar of the World is a historical artifact and it's the base of the magical shield that protects all of us from the shade! Every dragon should see it once in their life!" Arben scoffed and lifted his brush for a second to shoot his mate a sharp look, "Besides, you're more of a nerd than I am. You're the one who was fascinated by the Observatory when we went there last year! You're always obsessing over stars and how beautiful they are." "Well they are, though! Isn't it just amazing how they're so far away and yet they still shine that bright? The stars are almost as beautiful as you, my love!" Sommer said, smiling at his mate.

Arben snickered at his mate's line and carefully lifted his brush once again. He looked down at his work and smiled proudly. "Looks great! It should stay on for about a month, this time. I got better dye from a wandering trader." Arben said and looked up at his mate. "Thank you, Arben! It looks amazing, as always. Hey, do you want to go to the hill and watch the sunset with me?" Sommer asked as he cuddled up to the fluffy dragon beside him. "Of course! I'll get some some Strawberries from inside, you go ahead!" the Tundra said, smiling up at the Skydancer before turning towards their den to get them snacks.
