IHU prince of the wilds
some beautiful paths cannot be discovered without getting lost

It’s unknown whether Ihu was abandoned or lost, whether his egg was left behind on purpose or carried away by a predator. Regardless, it was the dryads who found him, cracking through the shell, deep in the beastclan wilds of the Viridian Labyrinth. They chose to raise him until he was old enough to fend for himself, and then couldn’t bear to turn him out. Ihu remained amongst the dryads until his adoptive parents finally made the decision to send him away. Anti-draconic sentiment is on the rise, and they felt that Ihu was no longer safe with them.

Without a clear purpose, Ihu helps out where he can, lending his abilities and his wings. He can often be found in the gardens with Fennel, helping her cultivate her latest project. When he’s not otherwise occupied, he keeps busy causing mischief around the village.

Adara was raised alongside Ihu in the dryad clan, and was his closest friend growing up. When it was decided that it was no longer safe for him, she volunteered to leave as well.

Scarif is a nymph of the Viridian Labyrinth, whose curiosity drew her across Sornieth to seek flowers for the Gladekeeper. She sought shelter from the wildfire with Ihu, and though Adara is somewhat hostile, Ihu is intrigued by the insight Scarif provides into the draconic world of his homeland.

Of all Serenity, Fennel is the one who comes closest to understanding Ihu's upbringing. She was raised in the Viridian Labyrinth, during a time when relations with the dryad clans were not so tense, and appreciates Adara's help with the garden.
