6164-gold.gif Midas was a human man once. When the Hew had just been broken and bound, he was just a lad; a servant's son, working as a kitchen boy on a minor Lord's estate. When the Lord befell a curse of avarice, Midas was the last victim. Many were embossed in gold, stolen of spirit and flesh, before Midas could tear the family axe from it's honor and cleave the Lord's golden eyed head from his body. One final victim of touch. But Midas did not die. Curses, you see, like all animals, find ways to adapt and keep living. And so it did. And therefore, Midas did too.
Greystone Deer Statues of stone, obsidian, marble, and gem serving the throne in a brutal, unending war.
The old king started this war generations ago, & with no end in sight, his heir continues it. Witness to the throne & it's authority, the Hew serve, protect, and council the Kingdom & it's royalty. Promises made by ancestors eons past call to force the Hew to action; whether it ends in devastation or otherwise.
