Often characterized as a fidgety out-of-place-looking Skydancer who speaks broken Draconic, many interpret Hebitori as a weird foreigner rather than the hapless Raptorik fisherman he really is. Hebitori was bitten by an unusual plague dragon during his youth while exploring the Wasteland’s borders with a friend. His affliction didn’t set in until months later, which resulted in the “weredragon” being chased out of his home village by frightened Talonok.

Albeit very inexperienced, Hebitori now focuses on leaning dragon culture in an attempt to start a new life and form a new identity. He laughs off questions about his origin and frantically corrects his grammar mistakes when speaking. Most view him as the well-meaning sort of folk, but it’s unsettling to see him standing around alone on clear nights.

BIOGRAPHY
Hebitori was orphaned at an incredibly young age and later adopted by a family who lived in a small fishing village. Mostly steering clear of the Beastclan conflict, he and his village had little to no interaction with dragonkind, positive or not. As a result, Hebitori never had a clear idea of what a dragon was and slowly grew more curious about the subject as he aged.

Accompanied by a friend (another Talonok named Deilos), he would occasionally venture further and further from his home village to gather what little information he could about dragons. Most of the other villagers viewed it as a harmless interest and didn’t pay too much mind to his antics for the time being. Even if they didn’t know where he went, he he would always come back in one piece.

Eventually Hebitori would start venturing north in search of the Wasteland where he was looking to explore the properties of a different element. The day he actually managed to reach his location was the day he had his first real encounter with a dragon. Being mistaken for Beastclan scouts, Hebitori and Deilos were attacked.

Hebitori was the only one injured, taking a bite to his left shoulder. Deilos was able to wound the dragon’s eye and allow for their escape.

Today, Hebitori spends most of his time in dragon form and blends in with the rest of his clan and attempts to function as a normal member. He tries to take advantage of his condition, using it as a way to continue his childhood passion for dragon culture. A part of him still longs to return to his home village.

MISCELLANEOUS

• His dragon form’s duration is dependant on moonlight exposure. Hebitori will always be a dragon when under moonlight and will be unable to transform into one if he hasn’t been out at night in a long while.

• It took a few too many weird stares for him to figure out Skydancers normally can’t consume meat or fish.
