Pavica

Running away from her Clan after being informed she was to become a bride for an arranged marriage at very young age, Pavica flew for days until eventually she found refuge in the Cristal Lotus.

Pavica is a sweet and loving Tundra, ever since she started working nursing the hatchlings and caring for the nests while the parents are unable to, she has managed to become extremedly respected and cherished by the whole Clan.

Caring for the young ones is what she enjoys the most. Sometimes, when an orphan, a lost hatchling, or maybe even someone who is in need of some comfort, Pavica is always there to offer her help with open wings.

Many of the Dragons who have grown up under her care consider Pavica a motherly figure, even visiting and spending time together during adulthood.

Pavica however, also desired something else.

In the very bottom of her heart, she desired a family of her own. It's not that she didn't love every egg, every Dragon that she cared for, but she always dreamed of laying her own eggs, sitting on top of her own nest instead of just cleaning and checking the ones from another Dragon...

Untill one day, Aureolus called for Pavica for a proposal.

An egg was found abandoned during a hunting session, far away from any Dragon habitated area.

Without the blessing of the Deities nests, this egg whould become a Dragon whose parents were not recognised by the Dragon Gods archives. The hatchling whould be completely without any tie to their biological parents, if there were any on the first place. There's always the chance that the egg could've been a manifestation of sudden magical energy...

In the end, the egg was brought to the Lair, safe and with a tiny life slowly growing inside of it... and Aureolus didn't want this baby to be born alone.

Pavica was willing to choose for an appropiate pair of parents for the egg. But of course, Aureolus didn't call her for that.

Aureolus was offering the egg to her, offering the chance to finally sit down and incubate it herself, and with tears flowing down her face, Pavica took the egg and hugged it, she was going to have her own baby.

The loving process of incubating took some time, a bit more than the common nest takes, but one day, a small paw started to emerge from a crack in the egg shell. The tiny, round claws extending to the new outside world.
Pavica extended her own paw to touch this new life, which instantly curled her own fingers around a single claw, huge for the small baby.
Slowly the shell started to crumble as the being inside moved a little bit faster with each second, untill it oppened completely, revealing a small, furry and wide eyed hatchling, still strongly grabbing her mothers claw, and shivering at the new sensation of cold from the outside world.
And at that moment, when Pavica curled around her and covered her trembling body with her own fur, she felt like there was nothing else in the whole world besides both of them, and that's were they stayed untill both of them falled asleep.

Like always, this was a moment not in the slightiest shy of magic, for life it's wonderful for it's presence everywere, it's endless possibilities and experiences. Something so wonderful being so common, it makes everything make sence, it makes everything worth it, and Pavica knows it.

Softgrip... my little Softgrip...


That day, the Clan celebrated the birth of a new member, a small and very loved baby Tundra called Softgrip.

Or at least... everybody believes it's a Tundra

It was not the fact that she was promised a life of takingcare of babies what made Pavica leave her previous Clan, it was the fact that what she truly wanted was a real connection with somebody, she desires real communication and love from other Dragons over anything else.

Don't be decieved though, as caring as she is, Pavica doesn't let anybody step over her. One needs temper and strenght for the kind of work she does after all, especially if there's a little one who doesn't have the best manners. However, Pavica never screams or hits anybody, that has nothing to do with being strict and responsable.

Although she is rather young, Pavica seems to have an old heart, often acting more like a grandma towards most Dragons.
