_The dark tendrils froze momentarily in the water, as if debating briefly on whether to heed the commands of the retreating dragon as they swayed in place with the passing current. Skyfall froze mid-stroke as a chill crept over his spine, his head twisting suddenly downwards a moment later to eye the hesitating shadows below him. With a growl that sent bubbles swirling around his snout, he dove with a powerful kick of his legs and, with a single snap of his teeth, sent the rebellious wisps scattering back to the ocean floor.

B I O G R A P H Y

_"Thank you, sweet pea. I know you're in a rush, but even a creature like you must understand the importance of welcoming décor in any good home. I need to subvert that old 'creepy cave' nonsense somehow, after all." He slowly began scraping the dark ooze off the ornate rug’s spiraling gold and red pattern, seemingly unconcerned even as the goop began to bubble violently. "What would a home full of cold crystals, slimy stalactites, and black shadow stains say about the way I treat my customers, or- oh, good heavens -my family?"

_Spawned in the darkest depths of the sea, you wouldn't expect the tame version of a lovecraftian horror to be such an animated and colorful presence. Skyfall is a creature of no uncertain liveliness, full of curling antenna, fluttering cerata, and brisk movements at every given opportunity.

_He is an energetic spirit, often jumping from person to person to ask the oddest questions- and occasionally even take notes on different dragon's replies. His bright bubbly personality is reflected in the bright colors of his scales and concerning glint in his smile. However, just because he is friendly doesn’t mean he’s an open book by any means. A book with the prettiest cover and most welcoming title can still have secrets lurking deep within the ink on its pages, and the same is true for the talkative creature hailing from the furthest, coldest shadows the ocean has to offer.

_“I don’t know what else you were expecting, sweet pea.” Skyfall spoke softly to his friend, recognizing the delicate feelings of fondness and the subsequent pain of heartbreak painted across their twisted features. “To let something truly love is to let something know everything in the world, and only after experiencing all of its wonders, to decide that you are one of the better things that this hazy reality has to offer.” The silk of the blanket was soft against his scales as he draped it over the shoulders of the other, politely looking away as the first tear dripped down their snout. “Forced love is nothing at all.”

_General Facts_

▸ Largely aquatic. The depths of the ocean were his birthplace and will always be his home.

▸ Incredibly social and bubbly. He enjoys talking and interacting with other dragons to the point of casual study of their behavior and mannerisms.

▸ Eclectic and a big fan of bold, lavish décor. His cave is covered in silks and velvets of the brightest colors.

▸ Extremely paternal. He often will adopt young familiars and raise them to maturation. He’s fond of all of his children and will care for them until they decide they are ready to leave home and explore the more distant lands of Sornieth.

▸ The seller of various wares, on occasion. However, these 'wares' are often of the obscure and dangerous sort. Poisons, potions, and spools of shadow itself are among his more popular items.

_Obscure Facts_

▸ Being a “dragon” is questionable. While still largely draconic in appearance, a good chunk of Skyfall’s abilities and nature alone are enough to suggest that he’s something else entirely. What that ‘something else’ is, exactly, remains unknown. He’s currently the proud owner of the tentative label ‘Eldritch Horror’, which was given to him by those tenacious enough to try and categorize him properly.

▸ A powerful user of shadow magic. Skyfall is capable of manipulating shadow to what can roughly be considered his every whim, and is largely familiar with every lesser known crack and crevice of the darkness he was born belonging to. However, the shadows still often have a mind of their own, and he still occasionally finds himself falling victim to the siren song of the void.

▸ A friend to most hellish creatures on Sornieth. Skyfall’s social nature extends to those that most other dragons find frightening- or, in other words, creatures similar to himself. Ghosts, monsters, and corrupted magical users often find themselves subjected to Skyfall’s company at least once in their lifetime. These encounters don’t often end well, but sometimes the knowledge gained from the experience is what matters the most.
