Biography
Sonora's mind is unlike that of any other dragon in Sornieth. More memories swirl within her head than even the First Fours'. Memories older than the Pillar. More valuable than the Tidelord's prophecies. Of course, riches always come with a price.
Even as a hatchling, Sonora's dreams haunted her. Unearthly wailing, the ground trembling and quaking, and the air too powerful for flight. And she would wake, her mind imprinted with memories that were not her own. She witnessed as eight gods slumbered together for eons, only to awaken as the Shade devoured the world. She watched as the Gladekeeper and the Plaguebringer warred above Sornieth, scarring the ground and shaking the sky. From these dreams, Sonora gained knowledge beyond understanding. Secrets long forgotten, arcane wisps of forbidden spells.
As Sonora aged, she watched the upbringing and deaths of several dragons dear to her. As her first mate, Bodega, was exalted to the endless ranks of the Tidelord's warriors, Sonora silently remembered the gods embarking after the fall of the Pillar. As her first son, WaveBreaker, joined his father in the Spiral Keep through exaltation, she relived the bittersweet moments as her mate descended into the sea.
Sonora spends much of her time in her own den, watching the past replay itself over and over. Perhaps someday, she will rejoin her mate and children by the side of the Tidelord.
