apprentice herbalist listen closely, for the trees are speaking to you Nobody in the clan knew for sure where Juni came from, she was simply there one day, a smallish imperial hatchling sitting amongst the multitudes of plants growing in Gaia's bright, airy den. Gaia had taken one look at the faint green glow surrounding her and had gone to the books, seeking out wisdom in the library Spruce kept. Deep within a tome almost too ancient to read, she had stumbled upon stories of dragons touched by the Gladekeeper herself. All of that meant little at the time to the little hatchling who had made herself at home in Gaia's den, napping in a sunbeam. But the plants growing there seemed just a bit greener than they had the day before. Adopted by Gaia & Spruce     a forest spirit dragon Abilities: As a hatchling taken in by the clan herbalist, she doesn't quite have a handle on her magic and tends to accidentally grow the plants in Gaia's den. This generally isn't a problem, as subconsciously she controls it well enough that usually the plants simply grow more. However, when she's feeling any strong emotion, she ends up accidentally creating a jungle, often trailing small flowers and moss behind her in her hurried efforts to try and prune back the overgrowth before Gaia notices. As she grows, she begins to learn how to control it better, but she still has her moments when strong emotions bring it out of her. As an adult, she'll become adept at channeling the growth of or creating new plants around her in small bursts, which proves useful during her battle training. If not done properly, or if overdone, it can leave her drained and in need of fresh water and sunlight. She is unaware of this, but there are legends of dragons with her abilities creating enough overgrowth to shield their entire clan in the event of catastrophe, however these tales often end with the dragon in question entirely spent, having sacrificed their entire life-essence in the defense of their chosen clan. |
