Nepeta has what some would call an obsession with cats. She acts much like a feline, pouncing and purring at every given opportunity. Unlike another member of the clan, Cat, Nepeta is fully aware of her true species; she just likes to roleplay! She partners with other dragons such as Tavros, Vriska, and Terezi to play exciting games of pretend (As long as there's no real danger involved! Not after a number of unfortunate incidents that befell her friends...). Nepeta enjoys living a wild, animalistic life in her cave, heading out on her own to hunt and catch prey independent of the clan's resources. Though she's ruthless with her claws, she is deep down a playful and at times naïve dragon. Her best friend, Equius, helps keep her in check, and she spends much of her time talking and playing with him. He is one of only a few allowed inside Nepeta's cave, where she keeps her famed "shipping wall." Drawn using the blood of her prey, Nepeta speculates over the partnerships of her clanmates, imagining who would be best together. Some question her for this practice, while others such as Rosevine and Aphrodite applaud her for it. She does seem to have a keen eye for picking out the best "ships" as she calls them, and even considers herself a professional. She will gladly produce artwork or writing centered on a ship at request, and makes plenty of this on her own time. Though she can get a bit caught up in her fantasy worlds, Equius steps in to keep her grounded and safe when needed, and she appreciates this more than she can express in words.
