Selene is a shy, but regal, dragon who adores the night sky. She rarely is seen in the day, much like her good friend Moonshadow, but she doesn't hunt. Instead she studies the moon and the stars and everything she can get her hands on about the universe. She longs to be beyond the sky, her form ethereal and her eyes seeing far beyond one simple lifetime.

She adores her adopted daughter Nacht, taking rare trips out into the daylight with her, teaching her of the universe around her. She would do anything for the little dragon and said little dragon's adoptive father.

Selene met Moonshadow and Nacht while stargazing one night. She had always been alone, wandering the world to see different stars from different places. It was rare that she came into contact with other dragons, so to see a hatchling and their caretaker was a pleasant surprise. She was taken with Nacht immediately, and when Moonshadow was about to leave, she asked if she could come along.

He said yes, and she never looked back.
