---
(wip lore) Do you think --- effectively utilized girlpower when she spent her youth as a violent force wandering from place to place, leaving destruction in her wake?
--- operates as the commander of a small military regiment, previously having owed allegiance to some long-gone authority. Now they act as mercenaries. From an outsider perspective, they're terrifyingly efficient, and worth every last bit of treasure you can offer. From an insider's point of view, the structure of this company is strict, loyalty is maintained through threat of punishment, and only the strongest are allowed to remain.
As the leader of the company, --- spends less time out on the field herself, though has been known to leave their migratory garrison to maintain order. Her presence alone is enough to inspire obedience, given how many of her underlings sought her out explicitly on account of her past reputation.
Only twice has --- shown any signs of sensitivity: the first being when she chose to spare the lives of her hatchlings by not crushing their eggs herself, and the second being when she allowed a small, glittering Spiral to accompany her on her campaigns.
On the former, this decision hardly panned out to be incredible kindness on her part; having laid the clutch in the desert unattended led to many of her children dying before they'd even hatched. The only heir of hers known to have survived was her son, Island.
On the latter, her allowing her current malewife to continue to live was largely a decision swayed by her interest in beautiful things. She considers him to be part of her small collection.
She once had a rather promising deputy in her ranks, a coal-scaled Ridgeback by the name of Torgar, but he's long since gone missing... for his own sake, he ought to hope he remains that way.
