Somniloquy was named because any dragons that slept near the hatchling in his original home would start speaking in their sleep. Something about the little one's eyes and soothing presence made other dragons relax enough to bring sleep and draw their subconscious out to the front.

For most of the first part of his life, Somniloquy had no idea what to do with that ability. Since most of the dragons in his birth lair had no traumas or problems to work through, the only thing his ability could bring to them was the embarrassment of blurting out whatever they were keeping buried from others.

After a while, getting extremely tired of sleeping alone, Somniloquy bid farewell to his family and friends and set out to find a place he could be useful. It was hard to find, since just bringing up a strange ability was sometimes grounds for being run out of wherever he was at the time.

Somniloquy was starting to give up hope when he had an extremely vivid dream of his own. He could clearly see a lair teaming with dragons happy to see him. Waking feeling eager and refreshed, the spiral made his way more quickly. The third day after the dream, he found the his way to the dream vision. Finally he was where he belonged.
