Articuno is the mighty father who pushed his son, Hinoki, to never let go of what was his. He doesn't care about his daughters for they are not worthy for war. Articuno spent days training Hinoki so he would fit a perfect soldier and hoped that his strength would land him a princess. When Articuno overhears that his first son has become the mate of a princess named Agion, he smiled with pride for his plan had worked. With a princess daughter-in-law, he will be able to grow closer to Agion's clan and secrets. Now, he waits for the perfect moment to discover hidden info about this, Agion and her clan.
Articuno had a harder time training his second son, Lixue to go as far as his first one. He only managed to teach him the basics of survival because Lixue had a tendency to ignore his father. Unable to teach him any more, he sent Lixue off to gain a powerful mate and (hopefully) a royal one. Articuno still reaches to gain enormous power and control throughout clans. Lixue had managed to find a mate but it wasn't a princess, so Articuno grew angered at his second son. Articuno promised himself that he won't let it happen again, even if he had to become more strict with his children.
Articuno's triplets Branwen, Brak, and Mofoi were only neglected by the honor bound imperial. He sough no reason to hone these three's skills and left them to their own devices. And as Articuno assumed, the three males were as he considered disappointments, unable to put their names out there and ended up serving the Plaguebringer. He just wonders if his next son(s) will be lead to the same fate.
