Venture

True to his name, Venture never stayed in one place for long. It is said he was born from the galaxies themselves and is destined to roam about with the stars for the rest of time. He’s often hard to see at night because of his dark colors; usually dragons that come out to meet him can only see his eyes and get spooked. He works as a travelling seer, reading tarot and runes before leaving for the road once more. Aside from being a seer he is very experienced with magical abilities and enjoys collecting items of different shapes and sizes. He buys such items off other travelling nomads and keeps them in a special place so they cannot be taken.

However, he actually has a home with a clan in the Shifting Expanse. He decided to settle down here after meeting his beloved mate Vespilla, a widowed stargazer and magic user who thought she could never find love again. The two immediately clicked after meeting and came to the clan together, and although Venture is never home for long it’s always nice for the clan to see him. He’s more fun-loving and relaxed than his significant other; although he always takes Vespilla’s side in disputes he has a secret dislike of her protégé Midnight (although that does not come as a huge surprise because many dragons in the clan also dislike Midnight).

He usually travels with his familiar, a Dire Hyena. The animal is devoted to protecting Venture wherever he goes, and sometimes assists his owner in performing tarot and rune reading. Venture himself learned tarot and rune reading from dragons he met during his adolescent years as well as how to properly travel. He has been and always will be a roamer, picking up knowledge and happiness as he goes in circles. He doesn’t miss always being on the road and will sometimes get so exhausted that he will stay at home for months on end, where he lets himself heal. Aside from Vespilla he is the second-highest ranking noble in the clan.
