Candle Maker
Ever since he was a hatchling, Javan has had the strange ability of conjuring and controlling an azure form of fire. This ability has been sought after by many dragons who wish to study him or dragons who wish to use his powers to their own advantage, which is what prompted him and his sister, Sedna, to go on the run for most of their childhood, as Sedna too had developed some rather strange powers of her own. They eventually settled in the Focal Company, seeking protection by the strong dragons that reside in the clan. Titania doesn't have much interest in Javan's powers, thinking him pretty typical for a fire dragon, the only thing remarkable about his fire is that it's blue, which is hardly a miracle.A slightly vain, proud Pearlcatcher, Javan's emotions run high and he has trouble hiding them, especially when he gets particularly angry, but he forgives quickly and easily. He has a strong love for his family and values his relationship with his sister, Sedna, above all else. These days Javan uses his flame powers to make and sell candles, having gotten rather skilled at his craft over the years. He has managed to become rather successful and has long accepted his place in the clan as a simple artisan. He has a love for expensive clothing and jewels, he also has a liking for perfume but unfortunately no scent is sweet enough to fully cover up the permanent smell of burning he seems to constantly emit. Javan spends his days crafting candles, shopping for expensive accessories, spending time with his sister, and visiting his mate, Gazette, who runs the clan's newspaper titled The Focal Telegraph. He finds Gazette's charisma and quick whit to be charming but isn't afraid of pointing out just how reckless and impulsive the Mirror can be about sleuthing out potentially dangerous news stories. He privately thinks Gazette's criticism of the Focal Company's leadership to be a little harsh, after all the clan took him and his sister in when no one else would, he'd be heartless not to have at least some loyalty to them. |
