What happens when a water egg from a Water Flight Guardian falls into the massive depths and gets a little too close to magma? You get someone like Kuril. Her egg was found by one of the Abyssal Drakes and was raised by the tribe as one of their own. She tended to hang out with those she considered her parents rather than really interact much with the others. Hexanchus is from the same tribe but had been kicked out many years prior. She was born with her many esca and was considered to be quite the boon to the tribe. However she wasn't fond of hunting. She'd rather study the various minerals for possible usage as tools or even as armor. This did not go over well with the tribe's leadership-it was heresy to even suggest a way to prevent scarring or make hunts easier by relying on a tool instead of oneself. So Kuril was banished from the tribe-the boon they thought they had turned out to be a curse to lead them away from their true path (in their view). Getting kicked out from the tribe wasn't too bad; it was that she'd never be allowed to see her caretakers ever again that bothered her most. And given their reaction to her being banished...well she wondered if they put on an act to be cruel or if they truly felt that way. To the surface she went and had to slowly adjust her sight as to not be blinded by sudden light. This took several months as this was the first time she'd ever come to surface. But once she adjusted she looked for a Clan. Which proved somewhat difficult-she had to build up her strength in her front legs to be able to drag her on land when she wasn't flying. And speaking of flying-she had to get used to that while it was like being under water it was also quite different and harder work. This took another several months before she was comfortable getting around. Naturally there were some dragons that insulted her about it. But Kuril kept going because she was going to find a place where she could live and be accepted. And so she did. Hexanchus found her one day and brought her to the Clan. She wasted no time in joining the Mechanics subdivision. But she was confused by his presence. He had to explain to her his story and to which she explained hers. Both came to the conclusion that their former tribe had too many dragons too traditional to listen to reason. Both of them became good friends and he introduced her to his mate as well as the other aquatic Ridgebacks. Kuril became fast friends with them and any other more aquatic dragons. She also bonded with Inya and her mate Elsie. Sometimes she'd keep an eye on Electra should her parents need time together. Kuril sees herself as something of an older sister to her. Kuril likes to forge new armor and weaponry. She's taken what she's learned from the depths and will send dragons out to the vents down there or go there herself to do some mining for materials. Those materials tend to be quite resilient and some are quite hard to work with. But she enjoys figuring out how to use them most of all.
