Battered Shields Life was difficult for the impoverished family of three. Two young Guardians thought they could survive on love alone when they first nested; Treasure talks, and the young parents found themselves struggling to care for their child. They could not manage themselves, let alone a young hatchling. It was decided to grant the child a better life, they gifted him to their sovereign King’s court.

The moment the child was ripped from his mother’s claws, he began to fight. The tiny Guardian showed such ferocity and ire that the King himself took an interest. Avoiding a fate as a laborer, the child earned himself his destiny of fighting with the Kingsguard. As a warrior, he advanced the ranks and became an undefeated General. Known only as “The Iron Wolf”, the mere mention of him or his Kingsguard struck fear.

Over-confidence and bloodlust are the downfall of many a great warrior. The Iron Wolf lost his first battle whilst reclaiming territory from a Talonok warlord deep within the Shrieking Wilds. With his fellow guard decimated, and himself gravely wounded - the Iron Wolf admitted to himself that he was afraid of death.

The Gladekeeper heard his fear, and sent the Iron Wolf a healer. The Daughter of the Glade nursed him and utilized her green magics to restore the Iron Wolf back to full health. Eternally indebted to this young Priestess for saving his life, he vows his allegiance. She offers him her adoration, and grants him a new title: Champion of the Glade; Shield of Eden.
