Floros wanted to be a minstrel when he was little. But of course, times change.

- Adolescent Biography

He would become a war drummer and bugler, keeping soldiers of the Flamecaller marching in time, and delivering key messages when words could not. He would see his share of battle as well, his panicked savagery when attacked surprising himself more than any of his fellows.

He would leave that life as soon as possible.

- Adult Biography

Floros spent much of his prime odd-jobbing and playing for tips in taverns whenever he could. It was on one such evening playing the flute that he caught the eye of Anya, who was staying in the same remote town on business.

She asked if he knew how to handle the sword at his hip, and then offered him a rather strange guard job at Castle Amberspire.
Hurting for finances, he agreed, and now spends much of every single day seated just outside the entryway to Lady Pepper's private tower.

He still plays his flute, his gentle, subtly mournful music echoing through the halls around him until his shift is up and he's free to roam once more.

While off-duty, he continues to politely ignore Lady Anya's less and less subtle advances.
