Look At The Stars, Not The Darkness

Nebula was going for a drink at a water hole he found. When he arrived, there was a female laying there. She looked shocked that he appeared. He decided to talk to her as she looked quite sad, despite her curiosity. She told him her name was Pandora, and that she has two children but could only keep one. And she is her whole world, but she misses the other. He understood the pain she had, as he has a daughter, but she is in another clan. He learned she was the leader of a clan, and she was worried she wasn't stable enough to care for the members. Nebula is a loner, and has not been part of a clan since he became old enough to care for himself. He talked to Pandora for four hours, and she asked hm to join her clan. He though, giving up the life he had now for something he's been running from for so long. Though he liked Pandora, so he agreed. It couldn't be that bad. He imminently became the king of the clan, and Juniper's step-father. He loved caring for her and Pandora, and the rest of the clan. He wanted this to become permanent. So it did. Now he is raising many children with Pandora, and raising Juniper to be a queen some day.
