Unbalanced Engineer
Due to an accident that happened to her when she was young and foolish, Stat's face was badly damaged, nearly rendering her completely blind. She wears her mask in order to hide her scars and help focus her damaged vision. Luckily for her, Stat was born with eyes all over her body. She can see perfectly fine with all of those eyes, though she sometimes struggles with seeing directly in front of her. Her multi-gaze prevents anyone from sneaking up on her while she's awake, though most dragons don't enjoy attempting to sneak anywhere around her, or even approach her, because her body has a natural static discharge that is powerful enough to be uncomfortable. Her multiple eyes also allow her to see different light frequencies, which allows her to see in conditions other dragons normally aren't capable. Ever since her accident, Stat has slid down a slippery slope into engineering that isn't quite scientific. A lot of her engineering looks more like magic. But her mask is all technology at least. She keeps it for sentimental reasons, as it was a gift from her apprenticeship master, technically as an apology for being so involved in his own projects that he didn't notice the dangerous things Stat was playing with in her free time, but also because he couldn't stand seeing her face and he was shallow enough to make her hide it so he wouldn't be distracted from his work. One of Stat's recent projects involved the dead, and their conjured spirits. She decided that rather than working in the Shifting Expanse, where everyone would look on her projects with horror and the summoned spirits would judge her harshly, she would work in the Wasteland, where there were plenty of spirits to summon and barely anyone looked on her experiments at all, let alone with any understanding of them. As a Lightning dragon, Stat's biggest goal is to harness power, and she has discovered that there is power beyond life. The only problem she's had is in reaching it without destroying herself or the vast lands surrounding her site. On very rare occasions, she's had a visitor come and watch her experiments, occasionally taking some of his own notes. Once, he even gave her a few pointers, but she was so surprised that he'd spoken to her that she'd accidentally ignored them.
