Biography
Most dragons are not quite sure what Null is. They take the appearance of what appears to be a dragon at first glance, but appears to be rather uncanny upon second glance. They have an alien, almost insectoid appearance; they far have too many horns and teeth where they should not be. Null is also significantly larger than a normal dragon, and they dwarf even dragons considered to be massive. Null never makes a sound and seems to largely not care for socialization. Instead, Null spends their time tirelessly hunting for food in an attempt to satisfy their seemingly endless appetite.
Null is, in fact, not a dragon. They are a shapeshifting alien creature that was summoned by a dragon named Tyr. Although their exact age is unknown, it is believed that Null is several billion years old. Their unique anatomy allows them to shapeshift at will and travel through the void of space without any harm. Although the physiology of Null's body remains vastly unknown, it is believed that their extraordinary abilities are what contributes to their voracious appetite. Null is notorious for eating almost everything they come across, including matter that would be considered absolutely inedible to any other dragon. Null is also very unusual in their ability to consume magic, which is their preferred food. In fact, Null has a keen sense for magic. They can sense the magic that flows through the earth and living beings. Null relies on this sense for navigation; they can neither see nor hear. This is likely what led to their rather unusual form; they could not accurately emulate a dragon by only sensing a dragon's form through a sort of "magic map." Null's eyes and ears seemingly serve no purpose and are likely vestigial.
The extent of Null's intellect is unknown. It believed that Null is intelligent; however, they do not communicate this intelligence to other beings. Whether this is because of an inability or lack of interest in communication is undetermined. Tyr claims that Null can speak through telepathy, but this has not been proven by a more reliable source. To most, Null appears to be a being that consumes and does nothing more.
Due to Null's massive appetite, many fear that Null will suddenly consider dragons to be their meal. This fear is believed to not be unfounded; rumors of a past incident involving Null and some scientists are widespread. On the other hand, it appears that Null gets along fairly well with Tyr and avoids intelligent prey.
