Comfort Creation
"We are told to let our light shine, and if it does, we won't need to tell anybody it does. Lighthouses don't fire cannons to call attention to their shining - they just shine."

The mind is an interesting place; imagination loves to make friends out of just about anything. We automatically see faces in random patterns, because that’s how the brain works. The phenomenon is only enhanced when we have no one else around to distract us.

One night, a very old, very lonely magic user got into a meditative trance. The mix of shadows and firelight that was dancing on the walls reminded him of a fae darting around a field of flowers as the sun was going down. So entranced was he that his magic responded without his conscious thought.

Before he knew it, Maggie had appeared and was suddenly fluttering around him and his lair, curious about everything. While he was utterly shocked, the dragon was nonetheless delighted at his new friend. With determination, the old dragon set out to teach his new creation about life.

Maggie is very erratic, like the moving light and shadows she was built from, but she is also full of warmth and life. She can slip in and out of shadows since she is partially made from them, and the little fae can enhance the lighter parts of her body to glow and provide a comforting light and warmth for others. She's at times like a living stuffed toy that provides happiness.

When her creator passed on, Maggie followed some inner instinct that led her to Chaotic Daydreams. While she misses her ‘father’ very much, the small dragon is loved and appreciated in her new home. Here there are many that benefit from her comforting presence and everyone is willing to help her find her new path in life.
