Screech had always been the odd one out. One day, everything got worse - she was hit by lightning. When others talked about Screech, it was always in hushed voices and usually included "she has always been a weirdo" or "it got even worse after the accident".

Finally, Screech found the strength to leave her old life behind and went to search her place in the world. A place where she wouldn't have to try to fit in, a place where she would be loved and accepted. Long story short: Screech found her place. It's next to her loving mate Cloudrise and her incredibly unorganized and enormous collection of ugly lawn decorations (yes the flamingos).

One day, Screech met another dragon who has had the same fate as her: being struck by lightning and the lightning never truly leaving the body. Of course, Screech had decided to be a mentor to the young dragon, who uses the skills he has learned from her to protect the post dragon on his dangerous travels through Sorniet.
