Biography

Mononoke was born into a snowy mountain tribe, where day after day they’d be taught lessons in strength, smarts, and spirit. She rose to the top, and word was that she was going to be the future leader. Mononoke did lead for awhile, but longed for someone to serve, and eventually relinquished her position to her second-in-command, living the mountain tribe to join Aella's clan. Now she leads the other warriors into battle, and not only dedicates herself to Aella as a leader, but as a friend. The two grew close after her son, Sol, went foraging and was BRUTALLY MURDERED!! She was part of the rescue party that found his mutilated remains, and had to collect her own child’s body to do a proper funeral. The mourning mother believes the culprit was someone from a rival clan that she'd had a conflict with back when she was a leader, and she will never forgive herself for letting her beliefs lead to this. Mononoke hid her grief behind the safety of a wolf head, and only talked to her daughter for several months. It was Aella who gave her the tough love she needed, who showed her how to put herself back together. Her fighting became twice as vicious, each blow a promise that she’ll never allow another loved one to be killed by an enemies talons. Nonetheless, Mononoke needed a more calming outlet, so she took up some hobbies. This helped immensely, and her life is filled with joy once more.

Mononoke has spent a good portion of her time training as a blacksmith, but what she really specializes in is glassblowing! she's got quite the eye for detail. Mononoke recently discovered that she loves hard candies, especially honey candy and sour ones. Poor thing has a hard time staying still; she'll tap her claws endlessly against nearby surfaces and shred things if she's not paying attention. She's definitely more of a night-owl. Mononoke likes being outside, though, so she'll set up her forge outside on clear nights, so on her breaks she can look up at the stars.
