______ They say exalted dragons never come back. They say eye color never lies. They say many things and some of them are actually true. Very few are permitted to know certain truths and their purpose can only be fulfilled by keeping those truths hidden.

Yin Exalted a long time ago when she was part of another lair. She assumed she would serve the Windsinger as a warrior. It was all she knew. She wasn't expecting to be returned for that never happened. She learned differently. Windsinger had plans and the training was intense. She was one of the select few to join the ranks of the Returned. No one must ever recognize them and changes were made. Though she was dedicated to the core to Windsinger only her actions would be left to declare that fact. Any who saw her would see one born to the Arcanist. Her purpose? Help a chosen sea side clan hold back the Shade in their territory.

Other dragons were unknowingly called to this clan and no matter how skilled there was always things she taught them. Some were particularly key-DaiShan, Healani, Cinna. One day there was a full eclipse during which Windsinger sent her a calling vision. Up until now the chosen dragons had found Makani Haven but now Makani Haven must find a dragon. He had just hatched a couple of days ago and would one day need training for his gifts. He also had something in common with Yin. Though he was marked as Water he was Wind to his core for Windsinger would never forget Garuda.

Yin knew she was to take a small group with her but there was a problem. Healani had recently been taken down by the enemy. Should Yin pick someone to go in her place? If so, who? She didn't really expect trouble but the enemy had been active and unusually cunning lately. That was how they had lost Healani. It would have to be Hotaru. He was new to the clan but had already taken over Healani's job with Pinwheel Hill and was a quick study in the Mire. Something told her that if they travelled at night those fireflies of his would lead her straight to a hatchling called Glyndwr. It was time to bring him home.
