| Just your average Edgy dragon, nothing to see |
The minute you look away. Break the eye contact. Pay your focus to something else; It's all over. In a flash, your life replays in your mind, the day you see your father walk out of the clan you lived in with another female, your mother dying in front of you in the hands-or should I say claws-of what's attacking you now. It's all there, all pain achingly real. And then it ends, and you are not only forced with the mental pain but the physical pain from the beast that grips you tightly now. The monster I faced was killed along with my mother, as I woke up from my anger. And I will not show that monster again. I hide my scars under the mask, I can't stand to see myself. It reminds me of her. It reminds me of what I've done.
I was exiled from my clan, accused of murder. They wouldn't look at me, my brothers abandoned me. I should have just put my anger aside, not taken it out on others. I don't talk now, fearing that I will say something that will set the anger off again, bring out the monster inside, awake the insanity and the flashbacks, nightmares and visions. I can not love, fearing that I would hurt her too. The demons inside me are too much to handle...
