Biography
(Swirl/trail/capsule?)
Where does fabric for all the clothes dragons have come? It takes a lot of yards to clad an imperial in silk from head to toe.
Now, Hibiscus doesn’t deal with silk. She leaves that for creatures with nimbler fingers. She leaves a lot for creatures with nimbler fingers. What she can do, however, is farm. Hibiscus grows flax. It’s not the most profitable crop, it’s not the most sought-after fiber out there, but it’s whatever. She likes flax.
Hibiscus grows most of her field for fiber and just a little bit for seeds, to plant the next crop. She spends her days weeding and watering if necessary, and doing it for others for a price. She usually harvests and retts her flax on her own, which is no small task, but she’s managed most of the harvests just fine by herself.
Hibiscus’ seeding stock is very hardy, and seems to grow hardier and stronger every year. The fiber quality suffers perhaps slightly from this, but who’s counting? It’s long, it’s strong, it’s maybe a little bit coarse, but by the gods the plants themselves keep healthy.
Hibiscus has eyes from the top of her head to the end of her tail, and it all gets really overwhelming really fast. She keeps them closed and covered most of the time to keep from getting dizzy, but uses the furthest pair in her tail to make sure everything is all good on root level. Saves a lot of crouching a scurrying, honestly, and she can handle the one extra pair well enough.
She's met other dragons who've made it work, even with prescription, but Hibiscus just can't deal with it. Having the field of vision from all those eyes warp as she moves gives her just awful motion sickness in a way flying never did.
