_LOADING PROFILE - REPORT 01 A lone dragon ventures down a set of elaborated underwater caves. Hardly any dragon dares to explore said caves, those of which many, if not all, perished on the way, making petrifying views for the few who dare to explore this corporeal place. This dragon knew it. But there was no one in the surface who would ever miss him. He had nothing to lose, and a discovery like this could change his whole life. He was used to the cold. It wasn't something that made him feel particularly troubled, but this piercing frigid feeling was more than a physical notion, but an intense sense of doom that could take him to his impending death. Lux was very much convinced that his suit was made for this situation and it was yet to fail him. The deeper he went, the more suffocating the caves got. The most frightening thing is that he hadn’t seen any life yet. No living creatures, not plants, just the rocky caves and the eventual corpses he found in the way. The deeper he went, less and less of the bodies he saw. It felt like the caves were mocking him. He knew he couldn't take for much longer. He made a suit who could take days of oxygen, but the pressure started to get to him. The tunnels took him down, up, down, up... He didn't knew what was up and what was down anymore, and he lost a few decompressing pauses. It was starting to catch up to him, making him feel dizzy and lose a bit of his logical line of thought. But his readings were certain. He was close. Really close. So close, in fact, he could see something down there...Wait. Was Lux having some kind of hallucination? No, it can't be. Lux could feel it. This... Faint blue light, blinking, pulsating. He went deeper into the tunnels. The light grew stronger and stronger, to the point where it was hard to look at it. He was close to... *BAM!* He felt something strike his body whole, something fast, throwing him against the wall. Lux was by no means a small dragon, and the suit made him heavier, so it had to be something or someone large enough to be able to throw him against the cave wall. It was unlikely to have someone else down there, much less such a large creature who would throw him around just like that. No time for that. He looked back down to the light, but it was gone. So it was an hallucination after all. *BAM!* , he was slammed again, this time deeper into the cave, bouncing against the wall. He felt part of his suit detached and the walls shake, some rocks falling down right near him. "Oh, yeah, now it's the time I die. And nobody will care. Hah!" - He thought to himself as he was passing out, watching the massive glowing creature going towards him... So it was a living being after all. The creature opened its mouth and, just like that, Lux was gone. |
