Salem

• Salem is the current long-standing Matriarch of Clan Petrichor. She originated from the Scarred Wasteland, where she had barely survived, let alone thrived. Without a pack, she was starved, weak and thin. On the way through, Vierott had met her at the border, and they decided to travel together to Dragonhome. Vierott had brought a second breed changing scroll, and as Gaolers they decided to settle themselves down in a cavern, vowing to expand it - and their clan - to colossal size. Like Vierott, she is also a hybrid Gaoler - her old breed, a Mirror, is still able to be discerned by the keen and attentive. Her wings are sinewy, leathery, and thin; the pinions of feathers and fur seem to abruptly taper off past her shoulders. They tire in flight, so she doesn't fly often. She also still seems to detect heat signals, though she can't quite explain why - her secondary eyes have been gone for a long time. Her voice is crackled, and ends her words with a hiss. She is compassionate and tends to take in almost anybody in her usual motherly fashion - though her cautiousness tends to lead to strange looks.

• One of her main hobbies is cooking, and she is one of many chefs in the kitchen at Clan Petrichor. It's a very, very large kitchen, and connects to several other areas, such as a large cellar, a tavern, ingredient storage, a butcher shop, and more. While most of the clan's home is built deep down in the ground, the kitchen is close to the surface due to the rising of heat. The drifting smell of cooking food and spices from the vent shafts tends to draw hungry dragons and even beastclans to the cavern. Salem will feed both patrons of Clan Petrichor and those who are only stopping by; the kitchen is open to all. Salem is often the one who experiments with new foods, and likes to make a mess when she does so; despite this, she's more skilled than one would think, and cooks better than Vierott. Salem generally prefers to eat meat due to her partial Mirror physiology, but she doesn't mind plants much, now that they're even remotely palatable to her.

• Salem's vote as a member of the Ivy Kinship is just as equal as anybody else's, and everybody else's votes are just as strong as hers. She is strong-willed and steadfast in her decisions, and much like the others, often votes for the good of what she considers her people. She tries her best to make everybody's lives better through the laws of Clan Petrichor. Every dragon, beastclan, and being is welcome in her eyes, as long as they are kind to the inhabitants of the caverns. Anybody is welcome to stay, no questions asked - no matter the circumstances, and no matter how temporary or how long, she will feed and house every last one of them, and guide them under her wing, both figuratively and sometimes literally.
