Lycopaeris

Lycopaeris was born with a magpie's love of shiny things and a ridgeback's regard for ownership. As a hatchling, she stole anything that caught her eye: a shiny red apple laid out for someone's dinner, a fragment of broken glass that caught the light, her grandmother's gold and copper jewelry, all covertly gathered and carefully arranged in elaborate patterns that made sense only to her.

As she grew older, she learned both boundaries and art. She bartered for the things she wanted or gathered them herself, sometimes going on long expeditions to find them. Lycopaeris used these mismatched, seemingly worthless treasures to create art, decorating herself and the clan's lair with her bizarre masterpieces: scraps of polished copper, twisted and welded into jewelry; shiny pebbles and shards of a shattered plate combined into a mosaic; a dangling chandelier of iridescent feathers and shed scales.

Art wasn't exactly a common occupation for a mirror dragon, but her clanmates all breathed a collective sigh of relief at her boundless energy turning to constructive purposes.
