Xulceron's Ghost


Sickly white and utterly cold, Xulceron has been seeing his ghost for years. At first he was afraid, but gradually learned to speak with his ghost, who seemed perpetually dazed. After a time, Xulceron simply accepted his ghost as part of his daily life - having that ghostly pale sheen in the corner of his eye all the time.
In time, the daze of his ghost began to wear off, and they began to speak in earnest rather than that chilling half-stare without any sign of recognition. His Ghost had no memory prior to them meeting, and had been trying to understand the world around him, much as a hatchling needs time to learn what they are and how they navigate.
Feeling less that his Ghost was a symbolic premonition of his own oncoming death, and more that it was an accident somehow in the ether, Xulceron fully accepted his Ghost's role in his life as a friend and confidant.
