Born into the coven Canna inherited the chronic pain condition gem bond from her parent, Aya. Butch worked to manage Canna's pain in the same way she did for Aya, but could not find a treatment that fully relieved symptoms or cured her condition.

Canna showed aptitude for minor healing magic, alchemy, and gardening. She combined these in the swampy caverns under the manor to breed a magical plant. The damp environment combined with Pantano's magic imbued into the swamp allowed her to create potent pain relief concoctions. Through this lengthy process she grew close with Pantano, and the two enjoy a deeply personal and private relationship.

She is cheerful but reserved with most other dragons of the coven. She is generally well liked by the warriors, explorers, and adventurer's of the coven. There are a couple stuffy dignitary dragons that do not approve of her methods but she pays them no mind. She sometimes has friction with Turiha, who gets frustrated at each other because of how the animals he cares for sometimes damage her crop and he worries about the effects her plants could have on his animals.
