The Keyblade that was the source for Fatal Crest held great expertise in magic, allowing its weilder great focus and persistence. The persistence of the blade carried over into dragon form, but the same could not be said for focus.

While normally a wit like the one Fatal Crest boasts would win lots of fans, between his tendency to chain-talk and the fact that he's actually kind of rude tends to outway it. If Fatal Crest gets riled up enough, his smoking hands will bellow out even more smoke with increasing intensity. These days people have figured out only to rile him up outdoors.
