The star-drenched skies screamed the day she was born. Comets and meteors yanked from their harmless orbits now peltered the earth as she hatched. The ground around the nest crumbled with every claw of her talons. Her starless appearance emerged from her egg as a dark mass splotched with the chaos of supernovas and unsteady nebulas. Tears void of joy stained her mother's cheeks as she realized something had gone terribly wrong. Naiamede withdrew from her daughter, an impenetrable force radiating from the child clawing at her. The whole of the clan crowded around the first nest to bear Apollo's grandchildren.

Nether's stoic, yet ominous gaze lingered on her aunt and uncles who now stood before her. Aeon, Crucio, and Skyrim exchanged somberly looks, their own pulsating power reacting and clashing around their only niece. The brothers parted upon their father's appearance. Apollo's gaze sliced a path right to the nest. Barely five get away when their eyes met. Sparks of energy clashing energies charged the air, neither dragon yielding. Apollo looked to Naiamede who sharply lowered her eyes, the realization was true. Nether was a Harbinger, one for evil.

The Astromancer hardly had time to lift his eyes before an unearthly screech sliced the tension. The astral plane of which the Midnight-Dreamers & Arcanine were anchored to suddenly shifted, startling everyone into a panicked frenzy. Apollo, taken aback by the sound, notice Nether rearing up. Her newborn wings spread, and a wave of darkness engulfed the nest. Never before had such a starless night descended upon the clan. The void sapped the light of nearby nests too, leaving families at a loss. Nether's astral energy was twisted into pure, impervious malice. A wicked, borderline maleficent, child of a noble line of stars entered the world with a heart void of reason and fear. She was fear.

Apollo raised his head as his granddaughter ascended int o the sky, spreading spores of her energy down below her…Shields were immediately conjured from protective drakes all over, mages, acolytes, and apprentices racing to cover themselves. The less fortunate collapsed, writhing in agony as the void extinguished their starlight. Apollo raced to their aid, abandoning his pursuit of Nether. His sons rallied alongside him and expelled bursts of their own stardust into the encroaching void. The spores of Nether dissipated.

But hope came moments too late. A familiar roar of anguish beckoned Apollo and his sons back to the nest where it all began. To their horror, Virtue lie writhing in a pool of darkness nearby, her scales slowing eclipsed of their stars. She seemed possessed, inching her way towards the nest of arcane stones. Apollo raced to her, only to be clawed in the face as she dodged him. Apollo staggered backwards into the arms of his sons, remembering Virtue was also imbued with his strength. They watched, ready to try again, as she hobbled towards the nest and reached inside, pulling out a partially darkened coatl hatchling that hadn't been noticed. It was the elder child. All of virtue's brother lunged at her at once upon seeing this, surprising Virtue. She and the child evaporated into a mist before taking to the air, narrowly missing her brother's reach. They vanished after Nether.

Naiamede's wail echoed in the distance, she witnessed everything. Her children were gone. Or so she thought. A sliver of hope returned to Thunder-Arrow that day as Apollo drew closer to the nest. His heart's shattered remains held up. In the nest shone a child so bright and untouched by the plague of his younger sister…Vialli. These first grandchildren came to be known as the Tragedy of Stars.
